How does AI meal scanning work?

Simply take a photo of your meal, and our AI analyzes the image to identify each food item and estimate calories, macros (protein, carbs, fat), fiber, and micronutrients. You can also describe your meal via text or voice input.

How accurate is the nutrition analysis?

Our AI provides estimates based on visual analysis and standard serving sizes. For packaged foods, use the barcode scanner for exact nutrition data from OpenFoodFacts and USDA databases. You can always edit the results manually.

What diet plans are supported?

MacroLens supports 11 diet profiles: Standard Balanced, Keto, Mediterranean, Vegan, Paleo, Intermittent Fasting, DASH, Bulking, Cutting, Body Recomposition, and Custom. Each plan auto-calculates your ideal macro ratios.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. You can view your cached data and log meals offline. Any meals logged without internet are automatically synced when your connection is restored.

What's included in the free version?

Free users get 3 AI photo scans per day, 5 barcode scans per day, and 7 days of meal history. Premium unlocks unlimited scans, full history, micronutrient tracking, meal plans, PDF reports, and all advanced features.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, find MacroLens, and tap Cancel Subscription.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account in the app. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data. This action cannot be undone.

The barcode scanner isn't finding my product

Some products may not be in the OpenFoodFacts or USDA databases yet. You can manually enter the nutrition data from the product label, or try the AI photo scan feature instead.
